After a year of living in Israel, I visited my homeland to see it through the lens of new experiences and knowledge. Torn away from the familiar context and moved to a completely different world, I saw the some details and the whole picture in clear.  “Nieviadomaja Bielaruś” is translated from Belarusian as “Unknown Belarus”.

In this project, I revisit my childhood memories and emotions about authentic, unique, unexplored and unsaid Belarus, a place that both scared and fascinated me, drew me in and pushed me away simultaneously.

The main theme of this project is the research influence of the culture and material patterns on my worldview. The second, but no less important theme is to record the disappearing remnants of our national culture and their interaction with the current context.

Having lost physical contact with my homeland, I began to feel better mental contact with her. I can call this new feeling patriotism not in the material sense, but in the spiritual one. For me, this project is the key to research my personality.Having lost physical contact with my homeland, I began to feel better mental contact with her.
